I know what you`re thinking: “Well, I don`t think a contract with myself is going to work for me.” Well, a contract, even a contract you make with yourself, is a powerful motivator. I made the deal a long time ago, and I believe in all my lives, seeing the beauty around me, celebrating that beauty and completing it where and when I can. I agreed to be as creative as possible and to share my creativity with others and, whenever possible, to open doors for others to share and express their creativity through the different arts. About ten years ago, I found the four agreements of Don Miguel Ruiz, which were deep inside me and led me to examine the different conscious and unconscious agreements that I made with myself. I agreed to travel and see and learn more about the world and to photograph freely everything I see and share. Here are some other examples of self-contracts you can use: “Find the courage to ask questions and express what you really want. Communicate as clearly as possible with others to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With one agreement, you can completely change your life. ” – Miguel Ruiz starts before he is ready, Georgie. Start before you`re ready. (This is my attempt to end this 2017 learning. I don`t tend to talk to myself as much in the 3rd person.) Over the last ten years, I have arrived at different crossroads, and at each one, I have had to decide what agreements I make with myself, with the universe, with the many and varied people I meet.
There was nothing I could do to go back in time, but I could dedicate myself again to my goal, to the goal that my grandfather so proudly supported: to finish college, no matter what. My grandfather believed I could do it. Now I was even more determined. (c) Imagine to do the things I`m not ready for. I did this last year, when I agreed to speak at a project management conference (I asked the organizer originally if she wanted me or someone older). I spent weeks stressing myself out about what I was going to say, and with an impending deadline, I just had to plan something for the day because I had committed to it. The result – actually quite funny and not so scary and I was well received (I had a lot of questions and feeback during and after). Our brain wants us to be consistent, so our actions often match our thoughts.
This means that the act of signing a treaty changes our view of an agreement. It`s no longer a simple document with a few rules, it`s now something you`ve physically approved. Therefore, your mind will now do its best to respect the contract you have entered into, including a contract that is only with yourself. I like it a lot! Would you mind if I did this as a contract with myself? 🙂 Thank you for writing this stuff. This has had an impact on my life, and I have a vision that I will soon encounter a better version of myself. 🙂 (b) Ask me questions about how to gain the knowledge I need to gain expertise. And then break it down into achievable tasks. And in fact, contact people. Making a commitment to achieve a big or small goal is the same as a commitment to someone else. It`s an agreement you make with yourself.
But there is no one but you who can be disappointed. Let me give you a standard contract to make it easier for you to get started: the benefits have been considerable.
